The CLC Book Club will meet Thursday, May 13, 1pm in the church sanctuary to discuss the novel Ginny Moon. Readers of this book will meet Ginny Moon… “an exceptional girl…everyone knows that—her friends in school, teammates on the basketball team and especially her adoptive parents. They all love her, even if they can’t quite understand her…they want her to feel like she belongs. What they can’t know is that Ginny has no intention of belonging.” The author Benjamin Ludwig has created an original young person (inspired by his experience as a foster parent) who discovers a new meaning of family on her unconventional journey home.
Masks are required at church. Please let Gretchen know if you plan on attending.
The book club does not meet during the summer months, so the next meeting will be Thursday, September 16.** That month’s book is My Dear Hamilton by Stephanie Dray. Look for an announcement some time in August as to the format (in person gathering or Zoom).
Titles chosen for the remainder of the year are as follows:
October 14 -- Anxious People by Fredrik Backman
November 11-- The Mercies by Kiran Milford Hargrave
December 9 -- The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett
