Gretchen’s Book Club will start off 2019 on January 10 by discussing Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman. In this contemporary novel, a young woman of 30 who has survived childhood tragedies and is probably the loneliest person in Glasgow, Scotland, decides to make some changes to her life after she “falls in love” with a musician she sees at a club but never actually meets. Eleanor gets help in her romantic mission from a surprising corner of her world…one of her co-workers.
Book Club members will also be voting on titles that will read the rest of the year. The meeting is at 1:00, January 10 at church in one of the classrooms. New members are most welcome and the coffee pot will be perking! For more information contact Gretchen at
