Christ Church members were busy on our Day of Service! We delivered 96 greeting cards to Zionsville Meadows, for both residents and caregivers. We donated 68 hand made fabric masks to Sew & Serve Indy. Six strong workers helped with outdoor clean-up at the LCFS campus including fence painting, window washing, and landscape clean-up (I heard at least one had poison ivy to show for it). Two members wrote advocacy letters concerning climate change and food/nutrition programs. Four outdoor adventurers did a trail and campground clean-up at Shades State Park. The service doesn’t end there. We also have ongoing service projects through the OWLs, Elsie’s Circle, In the Loop, and more. We truly are praising God by serving others!
Did you know? It is quick and easy to send letters of advocacy that the ELCA will deliver on your behalf. You input your information, and they fill in your representatives and give suggested wording for your letter (which you can personalize).
