CLC Small Group Building Usage

Posted on

Beginning October 19, Christ Lutheran Church small groups will be allowed to reserve select rooms in the church for gatherings. The building is not open for non-church groups. In this first phase, small groups are allowed to request rooms that are not used by the preschool and outside of preschool hours. Rooms can be reserved Mon-Thurs after 3:30pm and Fridays after 12:30pm. Masks and social distancing are required. Currently no refreshments can be served at group meetings and childcare cannot be provided on site.

Each group is required to fill out the usage request form here: (This form can also be found at the bottom of our website home page.) You can fill it out once for recurring meetings – just indicate your recurring times on the sheet. The office will let you know if your requested day/time is available. You may not meet in the building until your request is approved so please reserve early!

The leader of each group is responsible for completing an Attendance and Cleaning form at each meeting. These will be in the narthex. After your meeting, return the completed form under the office door. The leader is also responsible for ensuring the spaces used are cleaned at the conclusion of your meeting. Cleaning is as simple as spraying surfaces and letting air dry.

Rooms available to be reserved are the following. Capacities indicated allow for 6 ft social distancing.

-         Sanctuary (seats cannot be rearranged) – fits 28 individuals

-         Room 121/125 (double classroom) – fits 10 individuals

-         Youth Room – fits 8 individuals

-         Luther Room – fits 8 individuals with chairs pushed away from the table

We encourage regular planning meetings to be held virtually, if possible. Building usage is subject to change if conditions at our church or local level change or if groups do not follow the above precautions. It will be a welcome change to see (masked) faces (6 feet apart) together again.
