Gretchen’s Book Club will meet Thursday, September 12, 1pm at the church. After a summer break, the group will gather to discuss a work of historical fiction, Pachinko by Min Jin Lee. Pachinko is an epic story of four generations of a poor immigrant Korean family as they fight to control their destinies in 20th century Japan. It is highly acclaimed and nominated for numerous awards.
We usually meet in one of the classrooms just down the hall from the preschool. New members are always welcome, and the coffee pot is a constant fixture in our meetings. Feel free to share any good books you have encountered over the summer; we are always open to suggestions for the coming year’s reading.
